Christmas Magic in the Studio: A Very Special Family Session

I have been doing Christmas photoshoots for weeks now,

and I genuinely loved every single one… but this one was different. This one was extra special. Because on Saturday morning, I finally got my own family into the studio. My niece and my two nephews. Three little people I adore! I had been absolutely dying to get them into this year’s Christmas scene.

Christmas had already well and truly taken over the studio, with snowy windows, twinkly lights, toy horses, and cosy little setups ready for magic. But the second these three arrived, the whole place came alive. I honestly felt like the proudest auntie in the world behind the camera.

And the results? Well, they took my breath away.

THE SESSION, FUN, CHAOS, LOVE, AND PURE MAGIC

The boys arrived in their Christmas pyjamas, already buzzing with excitement. And their little sister Nina, marched in behind them in her gorgeous Santa Baby dress, absolutely owning the place from the moment she stepped through the door.

I have photographed so many wonderful families over the last few months, but watching my gang running around the studio, throwing pretend snow, climbing onto the rocking horse, cuddling each other, and bursting into laughter made this one feel different.

Nina posed like a tiny Christmas queen with the glittering rocking horse. The boys Joshua and Finn, were unbelievable! Gentle, patient, and protective, the best big brothers a little girl could have. These are the kinds of little interactions I treasure, because you cannot teach or pose that kind of love. You can only try to capture it.

I love my job all year round,

but Christmas brings out something extra magical. And photographing my own family reminded me exactly why I love what I do.

These are memories that my family and I will treasure forever… and I am so grateful I got to be the one to capture them.

If you are looking for a Christmas photoshoot in Meath, or a festive studio close to Dublin, my little studio is cosy, calm, child-friendly, and full of Christmas magic!

A VERY PRECIOUS MOMENT

And then came one of my favourite moments of the whole morning… when I finally got to swoop in and wrap my arms around Joshua like the proudest auntie on the planet should!!. He is such a little superstar, I couldn’t help it.

It was the perfect shot to end a perfectly chaotic, perfectly magical Christmas shoot in the studio.
