Family portraits gallery

There are many kinds of moments I love to create during a session….

Family portraits – Full family portraits are something to have and treasure for years to bome. Whether you are a family of one or a household with 10 children, I will capture some beautiful portraits that will mean so much to you.

Sibling portraits – There is nothing quite like the bond between siblings. Because the session stays relaxed, it is easier to capture the hugs, giggles, and ‘attitude’ moments that can show their their real personalities.

Childrens portraits – Children’s studio portraits are a wonderful way to capture each child’s personality. I will make it fun, easy and curious, so we get the real expressions and the cutest of smiles.

Personality portraits – are all about capturing confidence, character, and a little bit of attitude. Even simple poses can create stylish portraits that make people feel comfortable and look their best. Even the shyest people usually settle in quickly once the session gets going.

I had a very enjoyable experience with Sharon and received beautiful photos. Sharon was so accommodating and I felt very comfortable. Emails were pleasant. She had researched and was well prepared for the shoot. I didn’t feel rushed at all and think she did an amazing job, well worth it! Thank you Sharon!

We were very surprised to actually enjoy a photoshoot!

From the second we got there, Sharon made us feel comfortable and relaxed. She’s really easygoing and fun. It honestly felt more like a fun family day out than a formal photoshoot.

Sharon’s creativity blew us away! She had great ideas for poses and spots that made the photos really personal and full of life. The photos turned out gorgeous and totally capture each of our personalities, and us as a family. We got lots of colour and black & white photos, some in studio, some outdoors. Some of us were nervous about posing for them at the start, but very quickly forgot the nerves and just had fun! The photos show that too. They are beautiful and I know we will cherish them forever. They make me smile every time I see them and they remind me of the lovely evening we had with Sharon.

I highly recommend getting a family shoot done. You will treasure them forever. If you want someone who’s not just professional but also friendly, easygoing and very creative, we can’t recommend Sharon enough!

What a lovely lady, so calming and knowledgeable. Sharon makes sure to pick the right spot, include all, put all at ease and make sure everyone has a bit of fun. Sharon gives advice only to ensure that the end result is fab. Sharon is polite, encouraging & pleasant, she ensures that smiles are naturally delivered and the end result is top notch. Onwards and upwards Sharon. Highly recommended

Frequently Asked Questions about Studio Portrait Sessions:

What should we wear for a studio portrait session?

Simple, comfortable clothing usually works best. Soft neutral colours, denim, textures, and outfits that feel like “you” always photograph beautifully. I’m always happy to give guidance before your session too.

What if my children don’t sit still?

Honestly… that is completely normal! My sessions are designed to feel relaxed and pressure free. Some of the nicest portraits happen during the little in between moments when children are just being themselves. The studio is safe and spacious, so we will get photos it in a fun and enjoyable way.

Do you help with posing?

Absolutely. Nobody is expected to know what to do in front of a camera. I will gently guide you throughout the session, while keeping everything feeling natural and comfortable.

How long does a studio session take?

Most relaxed studio portrait sessions take between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours, depending on the type of session and how many people are involved.

Can parents and siblings be included?

Yes, of course. Family interaction is often what makes the photographs feel the most special and personal.

Do you photograph First Communion portraits in the studio?

Yes. I love creating relaxed First Communion portraits that still feel natural and full of personality, rather than overly formal or stiff. They can be taken on the day of the Communion, or any other day.
