1. About the Business
Sharon Byrne Photography (“we”, “our”, “us”) is based in Kilcock, County Meath, Ireland.
We provide portrait, family, newborn, headshot, personal branding and fine-art photography services.

2. Booking and Payment
A non-refundable session fee is required at the time of booking to secure your date.
Session fees cover the photographer’s time, talent, studio use and basic image editing.
Payment for prints, digital files, or albums is due at the time of ordering.
Rescheduling is permitted with at least 48 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in forfeiture of your booking fee.

3. Session Conduct
Clients are responsible for the behaviour of all participants during the session.
Please arrive on time — sessions cannot be extended for late arrivals.
The photographer reserves the right to end a session if behaviour or conditions make it unsafe or unproductive.

4. Image Delivery and Editing
Proof galleries are typically available within 2–3 weeks of your session.
Final edits are chosen by the photographer to ensure consistency of style and quality.
Retouching includes colour correction, cropping, and light skin editing. Extensive retouching may incur an additional charge.
All images are delivered in digital format unless otherwise stated.

5. Copyright and Usage
All photographs remain the copyright of Sharon Byrne Photography under the Irish Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000.
Clients receive a personal use licence for digital files purchased.
Images may not be altered, sold, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
Sharon Byrne Photography retains the right to use images for portfolio, social media, website, competitions, and marketing purposes, unless the client specifically requests otherwise in writing before the session.

6. Privacy and Data Protection (GDPR)
Your personal data (such as name, email, phone, address) is collected only for communication and booking purposes.
Your data is stored securely and never shared with third parties, except where required by law.
We use trusted service providers (e.g. payment processors, email systems) who comply with GDPR regulations.
You have the right to:
Access or correct your data.
Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.

7. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 5 years from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.
They are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Session fees paid with vouchers are subject to the same booking terms.

8. Liability
Every effort is made to ensure a safe environment during your session.
Sharon Byrne Photography is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the session or while on studio premises.
In the unlikely event of technical failure, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, liability is limited to rescheduling the session or refunding the session fee.

9. Artwork, Prints & Digital Products
Once approved, all product orders (albums, prints, wall art) are final.
Colour reproduction may vary slightly between monitors and printed products.
Sharon Byrne Photography is not responsible for prints made by third parties using client-supplied digital files.

10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland and the European Union (GDPR 2016/679).
Any disputes shall be resolved through Irish courts.

11. Updates
These terms may be updated periodically to reflect changes in legislation or business practice.
The latest version will always be available on this page.
