All family and children’s portrait sessions are photographed by me alone, in my private studio just outside Dublin. There are no assistants, no busy studio environment, and no pressure to perform. Sessions are calm, relaxed, and led at your family’s pace, which works especially well for children who may feel shy or a little unsure at first. The aim is always to make the experience enjoyable and stress-free, so natural expressions and real moments come through in the portraits.
What to Expect for your family portrait photography session
From the moment you arrive, my aim is to make things easy and fun. No awkward poses or fake smiles, just genuine, relaxed moments that reflect who you are as a family.
I’ll help you feel comfortable in front of the camera (yes, even the dads who “hate photos”) and make sure your session feels effortless. You’ll receive your private gallery about two weeks later, where you can choose your favourites and explore printing or framing options right here in the studio.

It’s cosy, easy, and we can control everything, including lighting, background, and even the temperature. The results are timeless and elegant, with no distractions, just your family, beautifully lit and captured forever.
If you’re a bit more adventurous or want something unique, a themed shoot is brilliant fun. Look at the Christmas magic we can create in the studio – regardless of the weather outside! We can play with props, backgrounds, and colours to match your family’s vibe. Whether that’s soft and dreamy or bold and full of personality. The results are creative and expressive, perfect if you love photos that tell a story or make people smile the second they see them.
And if your family feels most at home outdoors, let’s take it outside. We’ll make the most of Ireland’s countryside and light (and work around the occasional gust of wind or rain). You’ll end up with natural, storytelling portraits, full of movement, laughter, and genuine moments you can’t fake.
