Photo Studio Near Dublin, Just Outside Kilcock in Co. Meath
My studio is a private home studio in the countryside just outside Kilcock, Co. Meath, about 30 minutes from Dublin. It is where I photograph professional headshots, children’s and family portraits and fine art portraits, one booking at a time.
It is just you and me here. No waiting room, nobody watching, and plenty of time to settle in. Most people arrive a little nervous and leave surprised at how easy it was.
Where the studio is
The studio is at Rathganly, Kilcock, Co. Meath, Eircode W23 C5P6. It is about five minutes from Kilcock village, ten from Maynooth and around 30 minutes from Dublin by the M4. It is an easy drive from Celbridge, Leixlip, Clane, Enfield, Dunboyne and Trim, and from the west side of Dublin.
There is free parking right outside the door. Put the Eircode into Google Maps and it will bring you to the house. If you get stuck, ring me on 087 418 1408 and I will talk you in.
A private studio, not a studio for hire
This is my own working studio and it is not available to rent. I do not hire it out by the hour or the day, and it is not a walk in shop. If you are searching for studio hire, I am afraid this is not the place. If you want a photographer who has her own studio, read on.
Sessions are by appointment, Monday to Friday, and there is only ever one booking in the studio at a time.
What the studio is like
It is a big, bright room with professional studio lighting and a range of backdrops, so we can move from a clean corporate headshot to a relaxed portrait in one session without going anywhere. There is space to change outfits, room for a family to spread out, and tea and biscuits for anyone who wants them. Because the studio is in the countryside, we can also step outside for natural light portraits when the weather is kind.
A relaxed session, whatever the shoot
This is Grace and Charlie — brother and sister. They’re clearly relaxed and enjoying the session. That’s the whole idea. Nobody’s posing, nobody’s being told to say cheese. We just take our time until everyone forgets the camera is there.
It’s the same whether you’re in for a headshot, a family session or branding photos. You turn up, I sort the rest — and yes, there’s tea and biscuits.

Before you come
Book a couple of weeks ahead if you can, and earlier in the run up to Christmas. Wear what you feel good in and bring a change if you would like two looks. If you are coming for a headshot, there is a short guide to preparing for your session on the blog.

No. It is my own working studio and I do not rent it out. If you need a photographer with a studio, that is exactly what I do.
Yes. I work by appointment so that every session gets the time it deserves. A couple of weeks ahead is ideal, and longer in the busy seasons.
